It was definitely a semi Emi day today … felt okay for not being on the bike for 2 weeks, but was definitely feeling it in my legs and lungs.
Saw a friend and her husband (at least, I’m pretty sure it was [...]
Screwed up the GPS today; so you’ll have to take my word for it.
Down Holladay Blvd. to Cotton Bottom, then up past the Old Mill to Porcupine. South on Wasatch to Danish Road; Danish to Bengal Blvd. to 27th East, back to Porcupine on Fort Union, then dropped back down past the Old [...]

The sun did manage to come out long enough for me to out on the bike for an hour or so, but when it dipped behind some rather ominous clouds, it got awfully cold for how I was dressed. At least Earth Day [...]

20th East to Sunnyside to Emigration to the summit of Little Mountain, then Wasatch to the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon, dropped the Old Mill, then Holladay Blvd home. 38.15 miles (longest of the season thus far), 2537 feet of climbing (most vertical [...]

Felt much better today than Friday; most likely because it wasn’t as hot … and because I didn’t have to deal with multiple wasp stings. Emigration to Pinecrest, but instead of home via 20th East, I came back along Wasatch. Had to stop at Canyon because my shifting was off. You’d [...]

Typical loop; typical feelings. Good to ride. Hot. Sweaty. Salty.

Slightly abbreviated Wasatch Loop for me today … it’s hot out there! Lungs felt good until climbing up out of Parley’s on the bike path. Even managed to keep my heart rate below 160 until Sunnyside just before the zoo; which for me is great.
Really wish I had the cash [...]

Another Wasatch mini-loop, this time in reverse into Cotton Bottom then up past the Old Mill to Porcupine, then north on Wasatch to 33rd South, then back home. Lungs felt okay today, but had a small sciatic flare-up. Not happy at all with my form right now … I know I [...]
