Sometimes rules really suck

Three riders got DQed in the Pro/1/2 race at the Sugarhouse Criterium today. Why? Because the Husla was standing on the side of the course handing out dollar bills to anyone who could grab them as they rode by.

The rule under which they were DQed is 3D6. “Feeding is not allowed unless specifically authorized [...]

2009 Ride #9

Been feeling a little sciatic pain, so decided to take it easy today … still needed to get out and ride though, so I kept it fairly flat through Holladay, into Murray, up to Sugarhouse, and then home through Millcreek; just a nice neighborhood stroll.

2009 Ride #2

Overslept due to an insomnia attack last, so decided to get out on my bike today, instead of skiing. Holladay into Murray, then up 13th East to Sugarhouse, through the park, then back through Millcreek. Short 17 miles; easy pace, but high heart rate.

A little further …

Is it just me?

Or does it really seem like Wild Oats has really gone downhill since Whole Foods took over?

A lot of items I considered to be staples aren’t really being carried anymore; and the quality of much of the rest seems to have declined.

When I lived in San Francisco, going to the Whole Foods on [...]

Uninspired …

I am so flippin’ uninspired right now it’s unbelievable. I know some really incredible people (both old friends, and what I hope turns out to be new ones as well), and yet I find myself falling into old patterns, old habits, old modes of thinking.

Sitting on the couch (hmm … maybe I should have [...]
