2010 Ride #4

Caught a bit of a cold, but the weather is absolutely gorgeous out today … I couldn’t allow myself to waste the day on the couch; so out for an easy 15 miles through Holladay, Murray, and Millcreek. Legs were a little heavy, lungs [...]

2009 Ride #40

View Ascent activity on 12-Sep-09 at 01:24PM in a larger map

Two weeks off the bike due to travel last weekend, and pure laziness during the week after work. Throw in the cold or whatever sinusy-sore throaty illness I’ve got right now, and it wasn’t a particular good day on the bike. Stayed flat, stayed [...]

Kind of hot, but very, very muggy today, making breathing difficult for a fat, out-of-shape old punk like me, but still managed to roll-out another 28 miles, bringing my annual total to 802 thus far this season; not a lot, I know, but still more than I did during the entirety of [...]

Nice and cool, the air was clean … but the air was thick; once again, had problems breathing, even on essentially flat ground. But it still felt good to get out there for a little while and get the heart pumping and the legs turning. Hopefully tomorrow will be easier, like last [...]

It’s really, really muggy this morning … yuck. The air is thick and it’s hard for this boy to breathe, but it still felt good to get outside, if only for a little while.

Stayed flat in Holladay and Murray. Now, shower (again), then down to Library Square with the girlie [...]

Typical loop; typical feelings. Good to ride. Hot. Sweaty. Salty.

Slightly abbreviated Wasatch Loop for me today … it’s hot out there! Lungs felt good until climbing up out of Parley’s on the bike path. Even managed to keep my heart rate below 160 until Sunnyside just before the zoo; which for me is great.

Really wish I had the cash to [...]

Another Wasatch mini-loop, this time in reverse into Cotton Bottom then up past the Old Mill to Porcupine, then north on Wasatch to 33rd South, then back home. Lungs felt okay today, but had a small sciatic flare-up. Not happy at all with my form right now … I know I don’t [...]

Tried to take advantage of the unexpected good weather and got out for another ride on this holiday Friday; unfortunately, I forgot my inhaler, and had some problems breathing, including a pretty serious asthma attack on the climb up out of Parley’s on the bike path.

Felt like crap, cut the ride [...]

Felt great this morning …

… felt like ass this afternoon.

Was getting ready for a ride today when my computer started beeping at me, reminding me that I had to go into work today for a training … a situation I was not happy about, but decided to [...]
