I took my Garmin Edge 305 up to Solitude with me today, just to see where all I skied on a topo map, as well as to keep track of how far I actually skied. Now, signal quality was poor, because I had the GPS in a sleeve pocket, instead of out in the open, [...] View Larger Map Now that the Tour is over, it’s time to get off the couch and back on the bike … of course, 3 weeks off, when you’re already not fit, can be painful when you do get back on. The Garmin didn’t record yesterday’s ride properly, but here’s today’s … [...] So what does it mean when you spend about 65% of your ride at 90% MaxHR or higher? Not very impressive, I know, but the Garmin battery crapped out in Cotton Bottom … and since I felt like complete poop, I wondered if the GPS was telling me to stop and get a garlic burger. I didn’t succumb to the urge, for two reasons … one, I was trying to get in [...] I can’t even show you how crappy my ride was today, because my Garmin Edge 305 decided not to cooperate today by actually recording anything.
