… I need to take a page from Big Jonny’s book over at DrunkCyclist.com, and start posting porn on my blog. Either that or celebrity sex stuff.

Already the posts which gets the most traffic are a post from this past November indicating that curvier women are smarter (and my attraction to same) which features a vintage photo of a woman’s naked behind, and my celebrity sex list, with a nice photo of a fully clothed Cate Blanchett.

Then, earlier this week, I posted a video from the New Pornographers, and boom … another traffic spike. I still haven’t figured out what search words people are using to find these pages either, because even entering very specific search terms like “Cate Blanchett celebrity sex list” puts me well down the second page of results. I mean, my site is hardly search engine optimized for celebrity porn.

But such is life. It brings me some traffic, and perhaps some of the people who hit the site like it enough to keep coming back and my readership slowly grows. And that can’t be a bad thing.

It is utterly fascinating what goes on in the heads of some of the local CX racers, especially during the off-season.

When I’m not up one of the canyons pretending I know how to ski, I’m busy playing with my new D80, pretending I know how to be a photographer, occasionally coming up with a decent shot; or tapping away on my keyboard, pretending I’m a writer, occasionally coming up with a reasonable blog post or poem … at least when I’m not quoting others.

And soon it will be spring again, and I can go back to pretending I’m a cyclist … although my new office is close enough to home, that perhaps I can actually stop pretending that.

Ever feel like you should post something to your blog, but you have nothing to say? Seriously … anything would be better than what I got right now.

But no; here I sit, laptop in … well … my lap. Feet stretched out on the couch, bad sitcoms on the tube … make that really, really, really, really, REALLY bad sitcoms.

At least I get to see a commercial starring a cow with wings.

Today, the cars came close to evening up the score … haven’t got all the details yet, but it appears that Julie got smacked this morning and broke her hand.

Hope she kicked the shit out of the car while waiting to go to the hospital.

My company’s holiday party is tonight … and where am I?

At home, in bed, watching TV and typing this blog entry. And for once, it’s not because I’m feeling anxious about showing up … I pretty much just flat-out do not want to go.

Tomorrow is the day that we find out what our annual raises are, and I’m not feeling very optimistic, since I’m already pretty much at the top of the payscale for someone in my position.

So, I’m not feeling very celebratory, and that’s okay. Who knows, maybe tomorrow I’ll feel differently … I could be pleasantly surprised, but for once I think my pessimism is justified.
