Today we went up Big Cottonwood Canyon again for sledding, snow fort building, and of course snowball fights. Of course, the only photos I took were of the scenery. [...] Interesting weekend, coming to a close … went out to dinner with a great friend on Thursday night for some yummy goodness at Squatters downtown, then a quiet day at work on Friday. Saturday was supposed to be a ski day, but unfortunately, the tiny little headache I woke up with on turned into a [...] View Larger Map Started to head up to the Zoo, but ran into a couple teammates from Cutthroat Racing. Turned around and rode with them down through Holladay, up past the Old Mill to the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon. Dan & Mike headed up the canyon, and I turned left and headed along Wasatch [...] View Larger Map Mission 1 accomplished … climbed to the top of Emigration Canyon for the first time this season today. Of course, now I am completely knackered. Legs hurt (a good thing). Tummy hurts (not a good thing). Head hurts (also not a good thing … probably a bit dehydrated still). But the aches [...] As I was driving home tonight, the alpenglow over the Wasatch was incredible, especially between Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons on … and then I came to the very sad realization that after 7 years of living along the Wasatch Front, I still don’t know the names of most of the mountains … and half [...] Image sourced from JHUnderground.com This is turning out to be an absolutely crazy avalanche season … First there was the inbounds avalanche at Snowbird a couple weeks ago; then an inbounds avalanche at Jackson Hole kills a skier this past Saturday.
