I think I’ve mentioned before that one of the things I love about living in Utah is the absolutely amazing sunsets we get at times … below are a couple of images of tonight’s sunset, as seen from the roof of my building in Holladay. Sunset over Holladay, Utah 8/1/2010 Sunset over Holladay, [...] The First Annual Terry McGinnis Memorial Criterium, in the City of Holladay, was a resounding success. Turnout in the Masters and Cat 4/5 races was a little light, possibly due to the Utah State Time Trial Championships earlier in the day, but riders turned out for the Mens Pro/1/2/3 race … and so did the [...] Two of my photos were published by the Salt Lake Tribune this morning, in a profile feature about the upcoming Utah State Time Trial Championships this weekend. One of the photos is of Norm Bryner at the Sugarhouse Criterium; the other is of Norm and Dave Harward at the Utah State Criterium Championships a couple [...] It’s times like this that I really love living in Utah.

Top of the Start/Finish climb [...] Another fun day playing in the snow with the Trask family, in town for a visit from Los Angeles. Today we went up Big Cottonwood Canyon again for sledding, snow fort building, and of course snowball fights. Of course, the only photos I took were of the scenery. [...] My favorite ski loop … from Moonbeam Lodge up Moonbeam lift, down Main Street to Sunrise lift, Summit Access to Summit lift … then through Summit gate into Honeycomb Canyon, along the Honeycomb Cliffs traverse towards Prince of Wales, then dropping into Woodlawn back to Honeycomb Return lift to Gary’s Glade or Sunshine Bowl, back [...] Honeycomb Canyon Panorama Honeycomb Canyon Panorama … and Honeycomb Canyon was closed due to avalanche danger. Spoke to a couple members of the ski patrol who said that they may be able to open the canyon Monday afternoon, but more likely on Tuesday. Apparently they have about 15 different spots along 5-6 routes [...]
