It’s a gorgeous spring afternoon … and what am I doing? I’m sitting on my couch composing this stupid blog entry about my complete and utter lack of motivation to get outside and do anything. I think part of my malaise today comes from reading Mama Grrrlie’s most recent blog entry on turning 39. MG [...] Tonight, I miss San Francisco … I miss A Bicycle Odyssey in Sausalito (and Tony Tom, the owner) and City Cycle in the Marina (and Clay Mankin, RIP) … I miss the Hi-Ball Lounge in North Beach and I miss Spencer’s upstairs in the back room of the DNA Lounge … and I miss the [...] Another ‘cross season come and almost gone … tomorrow is the last race of the 2010 Utah Cyclocross Series (or at least, the last race in which participants can gather points towards the series title). Monday is the last day of what is technically still autumn … with the winter solstice (and thus, the [...] Once again, it’s that time of year … time to sit back and reflect on all that I am thankful for. I continue to rediscover my love for the bicycle, and while my mileage still isn’t where it was several years ago, I was on track to match (and likely surpass) my 2009 mileage, and [...] My dearest Sleep – Fuck you and the horse on which you rode into my life … and right back out of my life. I asked you nicely, and you just laughed in my face. You know how much I care about you … why must you be so elusive, playing hard to get? [...] As some of you know, I crashed hard a couple weeks ago (September 25, 2010), and broke my arm good … a clean break of the humerus at the surgical neck. As near as I can tell, I hit a small sinkhole in the pavement … not a pothole, because the asphalt is still there, [...] … and this is what I’ve recently had to say to the two most important women in my life. Letter to my mom this past weekend, for her 72nd birthday: Want to wish you the happiest of happy days today … or at least as happy as a day that coincides with the anniversary of [...] … the new work schedule that is. Getting up at 5:00am sucks. Lack of traffic on the road at 6:30am definitely does not suck. However, there is something seriously wrong when I am the first person in my department to show up … wonder how long that will last. I’ve written before about my preference for more petite-chested women; and while previous posts on the subject have typically revolved around B-cups, I’m certainly not averse (and in fact, in many ways prefer) even smaller A-cups … And it seems like more and more women are getting comfortable with that concept themselves … enough [...] |
