This is when I know that I’m really in a funk. I should be happy that I did 38+ miles with 2400 feet of climbing. Instead, my first thoughts were to be bummed about how much it hurt and how long it took. This is what I was referring to in yesterday’s post when I said that cycling used to be my release … I should feel good, but I don’t, and it’s this feeling that makes it more difficult for me to motivate to do more.

But I’ve got to keep pushing through. I know it will get better; it’s just a matter of time.
