I can’t believe that the House of Watts sessions are almost over. I can’t say enough how much I appreciate everything that Dave Harward and the Plan 7 crew have done over the past few months. I’m definitely going into this season with more fitness than I have in a very long time, and I’m actually enjoying being on the bike.
That right there is a huge win for me.
I am actually seriously thinking about renewing my racing license, so I can do the Emigration Hill Climbs … I think knowing that I’m being timed by someone other than myself, and the structure of having some place to go on a regular basis will help me keep the training going instead of just taking the easy way out and just riding wherever on the weekends. I just wish they were weekly, instead of every other week.
And no; I am NOT going to start doing RMR or DLD … crits scare me, and I need to focus on climbing to get ready for the Crusher; and I feel really positive about the continuing build-up.
Still haven’t been losing weight the way I would like, but I’m trying to pay attention to what I eat, and can only assume that as the stress levels and work hours go back to normal that my progress will start moving forward again on that front … but even with the weight, I am definitely fitter and stronger.
Current weight: 209.8 lbs (95.2 kg).
2014 mileage: 670.3 miles (1078.79 km).
