Warm-up:

Work-out:

Got to the House of Watts early, while the 8:00 workout was still finishing up, but there was an empty Computrainer, so I set-up and started spinning my legs to get a warm-up before the 10:30 class started. Felt good to spin the legs easy first, but I burned enough energy that I didn’t make it through the entire workout; but I did get most of it and the hardest parts … so again, I’m happy.

This is the first season that I have ever actively trained in 20+ years of riding. When I lived in the Bay Area, I just rode … I didn’t have a driver’s license, and even winter weather wasn’t so bad that it would keep me off the bike. Since moving to Utah, however, I’ve really never put in any miles before March … I might get outside once or twice if the weather wasn’t terrible, but weekends were generally either spent on the couch or on a chairlift. This year, I’m working at it. On purpose. And it feels good.
