Seven days in a row on the bike, averaging more than 25 miles per ride … one thing I’m noticing during all of this; my heart rate still jumps high and hard when I’m putting in an effort to get up a climb, but I’m able to hold it longer before I have to stop and gasp for breath (if I have to stop) and I’m recovering from the effort a lot more quickly. There were a number of times when I looked down at the Garmin, and my HR was in the 120s or 130s; granted, this was on a descent or flat ground where I wasn’t working too hard, but that it came down from 165+ that quickly is unusual for me. I can only assume it means that I’m regaining some fitness and endurance.
