Ow. My legs hurt.
Knocked 5 minutes off my personal record time up Emigration Canyon; but nobody’s KOM is in danger of being taken away … I’m still trying to get my climb time up the canyon below an hour.
I feel like I climbed 2 canyons, because the up-canyon winds coming down Parley’s were so hard, there were times when I was pushing to go 15 mph down the canyon.
Then, silly me, I decided to do Wasatch from 33rd South to the mouth of Big Cottonwood, then back home through Cotton Bottom and Holladay Blvd; basically adding in the south of I-80 part of the Sheffield Loop.
Pre-ride weight 204.6. Post-ride weight 199.8. First time I’ve seen a number below 200 in 2 years (or more); started at 217.6 on June 7. I know the sub-200 right now is fleeting, and will go away as soon as I rehydrate, but it’s so nice knowing that I’m getting ever closer. Right now, the goal is still a solid 190 by the beginning of CX season, but hey … maybe I can get it even lower?
