What a year, and while part of me is glad that it’s over, another part of me is thrilled by what I accomplished and is really looking forward to continuing to grow in 2011.

How did you do on your resolutions for 2010? If you will recall from last year’s post, my resolutions were as follows:

  1. Ski more.
  2. Bike more.
  3. Sleep more.
  4. Shoot more (photos).
  5. Write more.
  6. Eat less.
  7. Drink (more or less, depending).
  8. Work wiser.
  9. Save more money.
  10. Lose more weight.
  11. Piss off fewer people.
  12. Survive and thrive another year.

How did I do? I skied a bit more, and I was on schedule to ride a fair amount more (although not enough to double my 2009 mileage) before a crash and broken arm put paid those plans, generally did better on the sleep front, shot more photos (and got a couple published), ate more healthily, drank less (and more, depending), worked more wisely, pissed off way fewer people, and survived another year. Did not do very well on the saving money or losing weight fronts, but did generally feel healthier … and if that comes with a little extra tonnage, then so be it.

But we’re still going to try to lose some more pounds.

Nothing on the relationship front, so noting to say there … I’m open if and when I meet the right person who is open and looking to meet the right person.

So without further ado, the resolutions for 2011 (which look remarkably similar to 2009/10, with a few additions):

  1. Ski more.
  2. Bike more.
  3. Sleep more.
  4. Shoot more (photos).
  5. Write more.
  6. Eat less.
  7. Drink (more or less, depending).
  8. Work wiser.
  9. Save more money.
  10. Lose more weight.
  11. Piss off fewer people.
  12. Continue to develop my social networks and look for opportunities for healthy emotional intimacy.
  13. Survive and thrive another year.

A couple of days late, but hey … it’s 2011 … Happy New Year, everyone.
