Emigration to Pinecrest, same as last Sunday … didn’t feel quite as good though. By the time I hit the mouth of Emigration Canyon, I thought I’d be lucky to make it to Ruth’s Diner, and almost turned off to take Wasatch back south.

But … I decided to go ahead and give it a go to see how I felt. Once I started the climb itself, I started to feel a little better, but still spent way too much time above 170 bpm, even topping out a few times above 175. But somehow, I managed to keep my breath under control on the way up and only had to stop a couple times to get my breathing and pulse back under control.

A better day than I expected when I started out, but not as good as I had hoped.
