Solitude

First trip to Solitude this winter, glorious day. Cold, about 16 degrees, but clear and sunny. The snow is still a little thin in Honeycomb Canyon, but the groomers were near-perfect. If you’re into carving instead of powder, Solitude is the place to be right now … and I’ve never seen so many moguls.

Lift runs as follows:

  3. 1,235 ft - 01/15/07 10:39:00 am - Summit
  4.   860 ft - 01/15/07 11:05:00 am - Honeycomb
  5. 1,500 ft - 01/15/07 11:13:00 am - Eagle Express I
  6.   880 ft - 01/15/07 11:25:00 am - Apex
  7. 1,600 ft - 01/15/07 11:36:00 am - Powderhorn
  8.   675 ft - 01/15/07 12:32:00 pm - Moonbeam
  9.   810 ft - 01/15/07 12:45:00 pm - Sunrise
  10. 1,235 ft - 01/15/07 12:57:00 pm - Summit
  11. 1,235 ft - 01/15/07 01:23:00 pm - Summit
  12.   880 ft - 01/15/07 02:47:00 pm - Apex
  13. 1,500 ft - 01/15/07 03:01:00 pm - Eagle Express I

Total vertical: 13,985 feet.

Stopped and took various photos … mostly from the Summit lift and in Honeycomb Canyon, but a few others from Dynamite, Mine, and Liberty.

Then home to the rest of my soup from yesterday.
